Today finds three Patrat in the forest bouncing on a tree to knock down apples, celebrating over their score. As they bounce about though, a cute little squirrel-rabbit thing watches from the bushes, then dramatically collapses to the ground in front of them. They pop over to check it out, and it turns a weak little look at them, winks and blows love hearts over one of them.... and it's enthralled! Handing her an apple with hearts in its eyes, the Pokémon turns its loving gaze on the other two Patrat and gets them to eagerly hand over THEIR apples too, and then wave happily goodbye as it staggers off under the weight of their collected apples. They smile goofily, then gasp as the spell wears off and they realise that they've been left with just an apple core left! They've been played by....



The twerps are settling down to lunch on a hilltop overlooking the forest.... and Bianca has joined them! She raves about Cilan's meal, claiming it was five stars, and Iris offers a gourmet desert.... apples!

"Just fruit? Like fruit from a tree?" gasps Bianca, telling Iris that a real desert is something with whipped cream and chocolate! Iris tries to claim that natural is where it's at, while Ash does his calisthenics and Oshawott jumps out to help itself to some apple as well. A smug Iris tosses an apple to Axew too, but it bops off the baby dragon's nose and rolls down the hill, chased by a happy Axew until Emolga comes gliding down through the air to grab at it as well. Iris and Ash run down to Axew, Pikachu coming along too, and Ash checks out Emolga with his Pokédex. As he's doing this, Emolga only has eyes for those wonderful round objects on Iris' chest!



It gapes in delight at the apples, looks at the ONE in its own hand, then considers in its own primitive little mind giving Axew the one apple and being offered ALL of the others in return from Iris. It turns on the charm to Axew, Oshawott and Pikachu, then hands over an apple and Iris actually DOES hand over the rest to Emolga, its plan worked! It reaches happily for them... and then Bianca comes zipping down the hill squealing in delight, hauling Emolga up to hug it in ecstasy and proclaiming that Emolga will be her new Pokémon.

It struggles to break free while Ash notes that it doesn't seem all that excited by the prospect, and Iris tells her she'll have to battle it anyway. She agrees, eagerly dropping Emolga down and calling out Minccino to beat the shit out of the cute little squirrel-rabbit. Emolga tries to dodge most of the attacks, on the defensive and not at all enjoying this whole mess. Bianca has Minccino use Attract, but Emolga does the same thing back, and the two blasts of hearts clash, crash and... Emolga's is more powerful! Emolga is cuter! Minccino is horrified, the hearts start to pummel it... and then Oshawott eagerly knocks it out of the way and takes the full blast, falling deep in lust with Emolga and charging straight towards it - Emolga only saved from some enthusiastic humping by Ash recalling Oshawott to its Pokéball.

Emolga leaps away onto a branch, then uses its arm flaps to glide away, chased by Bianca and then the rest of the twerps, Axew clutching too apples to its chest in a budget impersonation of May. They can't find it again though, and Iris realises that Axew has the two apples in order to give one to Emolga, which never got a chance to eat. Iris agrees to help it, rushing up the trees and leaping through the branches, freaking out Bianca who is trying to waddle along in her too long dress. Meanwhile Emolga has found some more apples up in the tree, and has a strange little flashback to happily staring at Iris' tray of apples, then seeing Bianca looming nightmarishly over it and then Minccino cackling away. Grumpily it grabs the apples and begins taking furious bites out of them.

Ash and Cilan find Bianca sitting on the ground gasping for breath, but she refuses to give up and staggers onwards, her ridiculously long dress making it impossible to do anything but a fucked up duck walk. Meanwhile, Iris and Cilan have made their way back down to the ground after failing to find Emolga up in the trees. An apple core falls to the ground beside them and they look up to see Emolga dozing on the branch. She calls out to it and Axew pops out from her hair to offer the apple it saved, and Iris tells Emolga that Axew has a little bit of a crush on it. It looks down, then its childish, primitive little mind imagines dancing happily in love with Axew and THEN getting a bunch of apples gifted to it by Iris.



Marrying for the dowry, Emolga? That's.... depressingly common!

It puts on sparkly eyes and prepares to take a bite of the apple, but then Bianca comes trundling in and sends up Minccino to slap the shit out it. Emolga dodges, blasts Minccino with Volt Switch, bounces down on top of Bianca's head and uses it as the taking off point to glide through the air. Axew chases happily after, leaping up and grabbing Emolga by the leg, causing it to flap its arms wildly to try and maintain height (gliding doesn't work that way!) and sending down a rocky downslope, followed by a horrified Iris.

She leaps up and grabs them out of the air, crashing assfirst into a rocky platform halfway down the slope... which then breaks off and skids down the rest of the way, crashing into a darker, thicker, fernier part of the forest. They stagger up and look around, Iris trying to figure out where they are, and hear a frightening, gasping breathing noise coming from the forest. Eyes light up, and they stare in fright as they look around realise they're completely surrounded by Swoobat.

The bats open their wings and rain screeching soundwaves down over them, deafening them... till Emolga freaks out and zaps the fuck out of all the Swoobat... and Iris and Axew too! The Swoobat are sent crashing down to the ground passed out. Emolga points furiously forward, directing Iris onwards. She staggers forward under orders, unable to resist Emolga... Emolga the Irresistible!

Hey, that's the name of this episode!

Ash and Cilan stand staring down the downslope, wondering if they should head down or just wait up the top (what? Why would they abandon Iris?). Bianca arrives determined to follow though, carrying a huge leaf she found and planning to surf down the slope on it whether they come with her or not.

Meanwhile Iris is thanking Emolga for saving them but saying she kind of wishes it hadn't gotten them wrapped up in all this (how the hell is any of this Emolga's fault?). Emolga justifiably seems miffed by this, but then Axew spots a pretty little lake that takes their mind off all of that, and they decide to take a break. Iris settles down on a mossy tree by the water, while Axew happily splashes in the water and Emolga struggles not to get pissed off by being splashed and putting its fantasy apples in jeopardy. Instead it seethes, then blasts a small ball of Hidden Power into the lake to let off steam, and Axew... loves it! It claps excitedly and Iris misreads the situation entirely, telling Axew that Emolga is playing. Axew happily shakes Emolga's hand, and it responds by blasting three balls of Hidden Power into the water, and when this REALLY impresses Axew, it blasts a bigger ball of power into the water, splashing up too much and getting the attention of the Swoobat again. They flap out of the trees and Emolga blasts at them, but fails to put them down and they have to cheese it out of there.

Meanwhile the other twerps are watching a rustling bush elsewhere in the forest, and Cilan is sure it's a much larger Pokémon than Emolga. Bianca is convinced it is the cute little squirrel-rabbit though and jumps out from behind the tree with Pignite, going overkill and having it blast the fuck out of the bush.... revealing one very pissed off Scolipede!



Elsewhere, Iris, Axew and Emolga are hiding in a cave behind a rock, the Swoobat hanging around meaning they have to lay low for awhile. While they wait, the other twerps have found conveniently shaped trees to hide behind and Scolipede has lost them. Heading back out, they find another rustling bush that once again Cilan warns is NOT Emolga. Once again, Bianca refuses to agree with Cilan and sends out Minccino to use Hypervoice, enraging the Galvantula inside and causing it to zap the fuck out of them before stomping indignantly away.



The Swoobat are still hanging around and Iris, Axew and Emolga are still stuck inside. One particular Swoobat seems to be the leader, and directs the others to use a sonic attack on the cave entrance, driving Iris and the Pokémon out. They get blasted at and jump clear, Iris saying they're going to have to battle - as Emolga blasts Hidden Power at the Swoobat, Iris calls out Excadrill, telling that she really needs it and it... crashes to the ground in drill form! The Swoobat stare in alarm, then confusion, then turn to look at Iris who is dismayed that it STILL won't listen to her. Emolga tries to use Attract on all of the gathered Swoobat, and it seems to be working... only not all the Swoobat appear to be lovestruck, and Iris remembers that since Emolga is a girl, Attract will only work on males.... which is when something horrifying happens and Excadrill wakes up in lust!

She returns it to its Pokéball (why not have Emolga direct it!?!) while Emolga poses for her admirers... and gets menaced by the female Swoobat who aren't too enamoured with this SLUT strutting it out there for their men!

Not far off, Bianca is despairing of ever finding Emolga when Ash and Cilan see blasts of electricity zapping up. Bianca grunts that this is just Galvantula's Discharge, but Cilan thinks it is Emolga, the name getting Bianca's attention. It is indeed Emolga, which is tuckered out from all that zapping... but this has also cleared the effects of Attract on the male Swoobat. They prepare to attack but Pikachu blasts the fuck out of them, and the twerps are reunited... and so are Bianca and Emolga! She rushes to hug it and it leaps away, leaving a confused Bianca looking about trying to figure out where it went. Ash checks out the Swoobat with his Pokédex, and tells Iris he'll handle things, sending in Pikachu to kill the fuck out of some Swoobat... till Oshawott jumps in to take charge!

Bravely and happily it shows off its Scalchop, hoping to impress a less than impressed Emolga and getting blasted for its troubles by the Swoobat. Ash recalls it, but this has given the Swoobat the opening they need to attack with their sonic attack again, which is far more powerful as a group. Ash orders Pikachu to Thunderbolt through the pain, and Emolga throws in a Hidden Power for extra added emphasis... and sends the Swoobat blasting off! Delighted, Emolga lets rip with Discharge and accidentally blasts the twerps too, then glides off leaving them zapped and twitching behind.

Exhausted, they return to the table where all this started, Bianca despairing that she didn't get to capture Emolga. The twerps note that she just would have been zapped again, and she IMMEDIATELY cheers up and says it probably was for the best. Cilan offers some food as a way to forget their troubles, but as it includes apples, Emolga comes gliding happily back in, dropping right into Iris' surprised hand. Ash figures that it likes her, and so Iris pulls out a Pokéball and lightly bops Emolga on the head with it, zapping it inside as a horrified Bianca watches and... Iris caught an Emolga!

She cheers along with Axew (which is crushing like crazy!), delighted to have a new friend. It seems like another attempt to cash in on the Pikachu craze, only Emolga actually IS cute and actually DOES have a personality.... and a great one at that, it's devious, it's calculating, it uses Attract to get what it wants from the boys, it's apple crazy.... it's fun!
